Lots of variety in personalities and you can gravitate towards the ones you like. They can be advocates for you & often will take the time to give advice and work with you on your weaknesses or to help pursue growth.

On Fridays (affectionately called Fri-yays by some of the coaches and Team Leads,) we decompress and will spend ~30 mins chitchatting or playing a game or just relaxing. I think that's really important after a wild week. It humanizes the experience a bit.

Lots of diversity. I'm kind of an antisocial geek, so it's nice to be in a virtual setting where there's a few other nerdy folks. I've already bonded with a handful of my teammates and have multiple social Slacks that we chitchat in. Sometimes it's positive, but sometimes it can be negative.

I do not feel ~$16/hour is fair for the work we're doing. They're already posting listings for similar roles with higher pay. That's a red flag for me & a sign that I should look elsewhere for my work. I'd feel better about my compensation if they... y'know... compensated me accordingly.

This depends HEAVILY on the department - but most people seem candid. They don't try to sell you on nonsense. They treat you like a human being. Team Leads WILL advocate and stand up for you. But I've had my hours cut & given an awful schedule so I know there's other departments who treat me poorly.

They told me I would have a "flex schedule" and then asked me if I was okay with overtime. Well, what they DIDN'T tell me is that the flex went both ways. I now have cut hours during the holidays, and I'm making 5-8 hours less pay until we're busier (tax season). I don't think I can make it work.
