Code.org Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I am able to work from home, benefits are 100% covered and I am paid the market wage for the private sector, even though this is a non-profit.

Review from Operations Dept

We get Christmas through the first week of January off in addition to three weeks PTO (+holidays), totally about 5 weeks of total paid time off. Pay is fair, insurance policy is good with a pretty low deductible, and daily perks include flexible work from home and a well stocked kitchen.

Vacation. 3 weeks + 2 weeks end of Dec/early Jan for everyone! Health coverage is also great.

Review from Product Dept

Flexible hours and ability to work from home. Medical/Dental/Vision paid entirely by Code.org.

Our time off is great, and our medical+dental is 100% covered by Code.org

Review from Business Development Dept

While we don't have many of the "extras" that you might get at a for-profit (bonuses, stock, etc.), the base compensation is still competitive with the tech industry.

Review from Product Dept

The wages are fair and the paid time off is outstanding! In addition the company provides lots of perks to make it a great environment.

Review from Admin Dept

Very generous medical benefits, and very fair pay/comp time for working at occasional weekend events.

Review from Operations Dept

Unlike other companies, dependents are covered 100% by Code.org

Review from Operations Dept

Extremely competitive, takes into account living expenses, experience, and skill level.

Performance based bonuses are provided

Review from Business Development Dept

You are not lavishly compensated but there's lots of little details that it feels like they get right in the overall package. For working at a non-profit I am extremely satisfied.

Review from Product Dept

I can work at a non-profit without having to worry about keeping food on the table.

Review from Operations Dept

Medical/dental/vision premiums 100% paid by Code.org for me + entire family

Review from Engineering Dept

Base pay and the amount of vacation time we receive is great.

Review from Product Dept

We have an amazing vacation policy. Everyone gets 5 weeks a year plus holidays (so 6 weeks off!). And people actually take it.

Review from Product Dept

Dental and work from home

Fully paid single insurance, paid ORCA, paid leave.

Review from Admin Dept

Fair salary. Health Care.

Review from Product Dept

Transportation benefits and a technology stipend.

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
