
Replacing or re-training of mananagent would be a solid beginning to improving the workplace. There is a huge disconnect between upper management and those that are helping them build their vacation homes.
Showing true appreciation for the individual and team achievements would be a good start to changing the company culture. Management and the Executive branch lack the necessary INTEGRITY to achieve any more than just producing slogans.
Showing actual concern for their labor force would be a good start. "Essential" employees at one division received two sandwiches for their efforts during a global pandemic. A mask mandate that was never enforced compromised staff on a daily basis.
Enhanced attendance bonuses should have been given to employees that showed up everyday during a pandemic. Instead the company chose to stop matching 401K for several months. They also reduced employee vacation carryover from 200 hours annually to 40 hours annually.
Most of the time the interview process is bogus. If you are up for a promotion, it usually isn't merit based. Cronyism and nepotism are the norm in those situations. Anyone who would actually challenge management intellectually or otherwise is deemed as a threat.
The culture has gone from bad to worse, but when employees don't feel valued and a company's knee jerk reaction is to take from them during a global pandemic, it's not going to be a positive working environment. The employees showing up everyday are having to do more, because the truancy is so high.
