What did you like most about the interview process?I sat down, had a chat, got the job
What makes you most happy at work? The free meals that we sometimes got which were great for uni student, the staff on my level were very chatty and it made me feel good to come into work
What are some of the best things about your team? The people on my level were great to talk to and work with, but some of the management that didn't have life-saving qualifications never seemed to quite understand how important our job was
What needs to change to make the company culture better? It was very isolating and seemed that there was no budget to have enough lifeguards available. There was some days where the pool would be at capacity for one lifeguard and management would refuse to come and help.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?I worked twice a week but didn't qualify to have another adult membership to bring a friend. I could only have a child membership on top of mine, but I didn't have anyone to bring with me so the membership was wasted. Lifeguards are very important and shouldn't be undervalued like we were
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?Overworked and underpaid staff will never improve so as long the pay is not fair david lloyd will only pretend to be premium club
