There is always something to do or get involved in at Deloitte because the company is so large. There are social groups, initiatives and work that you can contribute to but they also make this a requirement of your overall performance criteria that must be done outside of traditional project work.

Incentives are mis-aligned, depending on the level of the practitioner. Senior Managers are incentivized to maintain client relationships, sell, and up-sell, and so they are too often willing to accept unreasonable last minute demands that generate terrible working conditions for junior resources

The company needs to fairly compensate people and use metrics that accurately reflect the work employees do. Forcing people to ghost hours and then using utilization as a performance metric that also is used for compensation is disingenuous.
