Many of my coworkers are obviously there for the flight benefits instead of establishing a career, and will barely do the bare minimum their job requires. I don't think it's fair they get retirement with those benefits faster than I get full-time status.
I just want to see management make a clear committment towards those seeking advancement opportunities instead of beating around the bush saying they will within five years, but barely put in any effort on an annual basis. An early-out retirement package is badly needed!
Management does seem to breathe down your neck a fair amount, but some do offer to help their team in the event of an irregular operation which is refreshing rather than be in a cubicle and only come out to shake hands and kiss babies.
Many of my local managers need to recognize there are several part-timers like me who want to advance their career with the company, and will appreciate having those opportunities instead of coddling those who are clearly there for the flight benefits and barely put in the bare minimum.
