In my situation, it was all online. Quick. Easy. Done.
I'm a driver. So, it's a chance to listen to the radio in the car and deal with some nice people. But a lot of traffic, congestion, bad road conditions, etc. to deal with.
For a driver, it would be great if corporate would treat me as a human being. Not a serf grinding to make them money. The company does absolutely nothing to show it has any concern or care for drivers. Sad.
There is no way for drivers to communicate with anyone in corporate. Our driver assistance is based in the Phillipines. The reps are very polite and nice, but there is definitely language issues. They do not comprehend what I'm trying to tell them. Very frustrating.
As a driver, Door Dash gives me NO benefits whatsoever. I'm supposed to be happy to have a "flexible" side gig. But, the sad bottom line at Door Dash, as with Uber and others like it, were designed to treat drivers like chattle. If drivers don't like it, the co's response is: quit. We don't care.
