Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
What do you like best about the leadership team?
It is a very diverse group.
They care about the staff and are reasonable in their expectations
Their passion for our mission and our employees.
The leadership team seems caring. They offer a lot of support.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They need to stop micromanaging and let teachers just teach. They also need to have reasonable expectations for classroom performance, both of teachers and students. Academic coaches should be people with at least 10 years of actual teaching experience.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The pay is fair for the work
Fair compensation for the work-load and balance.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation is not all that bad but teachers usually get paid once per month partly because payroll for thousands of teachers takes time. With Elevate you are a contractor, paid cash. And you're still paid once per month.
Twenty dollars an hour is not sufficient pay for a certified teacher, especially when you also have to spend your own time prepping adaptations of their poorly written content.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are all so supportive of each other and we genuinely enjoy each other's company.

Its a team of dedicated, thoughtful and fun professionals!
Everyone is a team player, hard working, and just a good person to be around.
Teachers support each other. Induction coaches, academic coaches, and program liaisons are great!
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Leadership that is focused on its people
It would be great if they were trained properly to work with others, teachers and students alike.
There needs to be better training for the classroom coaches so that they know how to handle technical difficulties.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The employees celebrate each other and their wins. We always make time for fun while also always getting the job done.
The people are amazing personally and professionally.
Very collaborative and come together to march in the same direction.
Being able to work from home

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The company needs better training for everyone overall.

The person interviewing me put me at ease.
Interviewing was very nice, as they made the job sound really great and seemed like everyone would be very supportive.

Working on important projects that help students and teachers
My teammates and their supportive and encouraging nature.
I like teaching and learning to teach in new ways because of things like Covid. While teaching from home, I like getting to know my students and how they learn.
I know that I'm making a difference in children's lives.
