Things have been good for the most part. There is a lot of change and growth which can cause issues at times, but I try to think of them as growing pains and keep moving forward.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like achieving goals and interacting with people.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Most of the people in my office like to make the environment fun. We play games together, have silly contests, and most folks really enjoy hanging out together.
What are some of the best things about your team?
People on my team genuinely care about each other. They try to work together toward common goals, and at the same time, make work enjoyable for themselves and everyone else. My manager is also very supportive, which helps a lot!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I do not have a lot of direct interaction with the SMT. They seem decent, hard-working, and mostly approachable. I know they are also very busy and sometimes details get lost. They are human. I know they are trying to do the best job they know how.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am an hourly worker who takes on responsibilities for multiple teams at the same time, bridging many departments. I am technically part-time, but am available around the clock. I get paid the same amount per hour that my friend who works at Target and has far less responsibility, gets paid.
