I couldn't ask for a better company for which to work. My manager is supportive and, while he is in an office in a different state, is ALWAYS available to talk things over, provide direction, coach, etc. I expect to retire from Farmers. It truly is the best place to work.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Strong connections with my coworkers and some of the best managers I have ever worked for in my career. My manager is always accessible and supportive and provides great direction on how to improve.

They listen and are invested in my continued success and development.

The people I get to work with and the role I play in getting people engaged in the work.

We post all our jobs internally first. Our managers are tasked with developing their talent so they encourage promotions.
What are some of the best things about your team?
During this pandemic, we are still have a 'virtual lunch' with eachother every Friday, just like we did in person.

Our 401k - we get 4% funded by Farmers AND a 100% match up to 6% of our prior years' salary.

We have great team meetings even though we are all scattered throughout the country. We are fully remote but connect daily through Webex Teams Chat.

What do you like best about the leadership team?
We celebrate our successes and work to overcome our shortcomings. We are more like a family even though we have about 20,000 employees. We take care of our own and have a culture of bringing your true self to work every day. Be authentic.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We celebrate diversity - of background, thought, ethnicity, etc. We have Employee Resource Groups that provide support and helps connect each other and our Leadership. We also track our charity work hours and Farmers donates to our charity of choice based on hours we work at these charities.

We have Employee Resource Groups that keep us engaged and connected to others by having multiple webinars that are interesting. We also have ability to be involved in charity work and the company donates money to our charities based on hours tracked through a site called Benevity. We give back!
What makes you most happy at work?
The work itself, the team I get to work, my direct manager and the department leadership all the way up to the Executive level. I am comfortable interacting with leaders because they are part of the team. The head of my department always walks around the department and interacts daily with the team.
