Management has gotten worse, especially in the deli. Workers are being put on the spot for management's mess ups and are being punished for doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. There's nothing to "fill floor" with because there is nothing because manager won't order anything/right stuff.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Understanding the hardships of the job. If they did a shift like mine they would understand why things are the way they are.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Management won't listen to needs/concerns/why job can't get done, but get mad when the job isn't done/is done but not to the highest standard.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Inspirational, supportive, comedic relief, helpful, they listen intently, will share everything with the team whether it's good or bad, the best team that I have ever had the pleasure of working with and hope that I can work with another team like them.
What makes you most happy at work?
Decorating cakes/cupcakes. That's the whole reason I applied for the job. 1 year I've been working and hoping to do cakes and only recently have been given the opportunity to do them. Working with my team also makes me the most happy. But the new manager is making the department a complete mess
