Ford Motor Company Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

Screening at different levels, Thorough verification of Tool skills, Critical thinking skills

Review from Engineering Dept

was happy to get job

THE process was fast AND INFORMATIVE

All the key people I would be working with on a daily basis were present and the interview was similar to a weekly meeting. It was not stiff and ridged, just 3 managers, my shop foreman and myself having a conversation to get to know one another and see if I fit in and were what they wanted.

It was mostly online and it was very easy to understand

They explains what you have to do and how their process works to get the work done

Took an aptitude test, then personal meeting with head hunter.

No answer on this question

They made me feel comfortable

It was simple and to the point

Process oriented positive strategic managerial

Engaging real interview about real things, not needless algorithms and irrelevant stuff

Interviewing directly with the people I was working for.

You meet a lot of people.

Asking me why I would like to be part of the company and how I can help to make it succesful

Process is transparent and Interviewers try to put applicants at peace

It was only two rounds and was relatively painless.

Review from IT Dept

They seemed to ask the right questions.

Review from Design Dept

One interview, easy application. Good experience

Review from Engineering Dept

the welcoming, not intimidating fashion in which the interviewers conducts and behaved themselves

Review from Operations Dept

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Honestly opportunity for advancement not manager uaw family friends only

They should ask questions about the whole job not certain areas. I felt like I was blinded by every detail that I was told about. Feel like I was setup for failure.

Make it not such a long process

Review from Product Dept

Have a more robust and less archaic process

Review from Sales Dept

There is no interview. Nothing. Only an aptitude test and application.

Review from Product Dept

Nothing comes to mind now

Review from Operations Dept

Make it external expert interviewers

Review from Engineering Dept

Simple. Have them go in the plant and do a job. If they can't do it don't hire them

Review from Product Dept

Better screening of people and complying with the collective bargaining agreement

Review from Operations Dept

Stop using the same book for all candidates
