When I give the customer exactly what they need even when they're unable to describe exactly what they want.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I negotiated my salary based on being a software developer. My responsibilities are more than a software developer. I actually end up spending a significant amount of time doing project management and mentoring the customer.
