Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I often see job postings for my position at different companies for a higher wage. I often hear peers mention the same. We claim to be a white glove shop, which justifies our rates to our clients. But I don't see that reflected in my compensation. I feel I'm below average for the industry.

During salary negotiation, a lot of information and description benefits brought in were not consistent and unfortunately that was used to bring my base salary down. I ended up getting less than what I was getting in my last company. But I do cherish the level of exposure and opportunities provided.

Unfortunately, we don't have stocks or anything beyond our base salary. While our base salaries are good enough, when you factor in stocks or RSUs that other tech companies get, our total comp package isn't that great, especially given how much work we do.

While we have great values, we don't live them. Lots of talk, but too little execution. There's some transparency in the evaluation process, but everything about is arbitrary and subjective. I'd want more clarity: this is the measurable goals you need to hit, not how many people like you.
