I've been with Gray more than 15 years. As friends at other broadcast companies were experiencing furloughs and layoffs, my station never had any. We've had bonuses. Have I been paid what I am worth? Not even close. But, if you're in journalism for the money, you're in the wrong line of work.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We set the bar high and we help each other achieve this high standard. It's kind of like peer-pressure -- but in a good way.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It allows prospective employees to decide if they are good fit in our newsroom family -- because that's just as important as the work since we work so closely and in a high-stress environment.
