I'm a merch, and as long as you get a route with a competent salesman, the job is stress free and easy. But if you get a bad one that constantly writes bad orders, it's a nightmare every single day
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Team supervisors are very friendly, responsive, understanding and helpful. District managers are great too at my location. To anyone above that, you're insignificant trash.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Turnover is very high, so we're constantly understaffed and that builds a strong sense of community among the survivors who stick it out. Idk if that's a good thing or not
What makes you most happy at work?
As a merch I travel between 3-4 stores a day, and I like that. I can't stand being in the same place all day. Moving around gives the illusion of freedom and flexibility.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Nothing I really liked, it was recorded video interview questions, and it took a month to hear back. But once I got the call back, the hiring manager was very responsive and helpful.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compared to coke or Pepsi, the workload with Dr pepper can be huge, since it all depends on the salesman writing good orders. With drp, the salesman doesn't merch. Only the merch does. Some order for the commission, rather than store demand. Also lowest paying out of the 3, with the longest hours.
