base salary is pretty competitive

Being able to get any book for free!

Health insurance is really great, free books and learning stipend.
Review from HR Dept
High cash salary with very competitive RSU grant
Review from Engineering Dept
Book stipend. 401k vests immediately. Generous HSA contribution.

Medical plans are in line with my needs and take care of me and my family. Also the book program is a nice touch.

The salary + medical + equity

You can expense any book you want (except for rare and collectors books). It's not the most glamorous of perks, but we get all the standard ones you would expect, plus this really nice one that shows how much the company values learning.
Review from Product Dept
The unlimited book expense! The fact that we can buy almost any book and have it expensed is really great

Stock and Insurance package options

challenging goals, yet attainable to hit
Review from Sales Dept
Just returned from 4 months of parental leave which was a gift, and I have returned refreshed and ready to get back to work. I do love how thorough the package is though from parental care, to health care, to education (LOVE the book compensation)... just that it covers a lot.

Bonuses are paid as a part of salary
Review from Marketing Dept
My Base salary is the best. I like there is no bonus
Review from Marketing Dept
Reasonably priced benefits, PTO, good pay.
Review from HR Dept
Fair Salary! Also the parental leave is phenomenal
Review from Customer Success Dept
The compensation doesn't meet my experience
Review from Customer Support Dept
With the higher expectations of PEs (the in-depth knowledge we have on the product, numbers we need to meet) it doesn't feel like being paid below 70k is necessarily fair in comparison to other roles
Review from Customer Support Dept
Compensation isn't quite on par with competing companies and there's a lack of bonuses. Also compensation doesn't adjust on par with the market (like historic inflation as happened this year)
Review from Design Dept
Pay is lower than other similar companies and we have no bonuses
Review from Marketing Dept
Getting a promotion and more stock options.
Review from Customer Success Dept
I was told I could not receive a promotion even though I am working significantly above the role I was hired for because I hadn't been at the company long enough.
Review from Design Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
Timing of inflation and salary range for my role has increased at the time when I was hired
Review from Design Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
Determining compensation relative to my peers is opaque. I don't have a way to know if I am being paid fairly relative to my peers and industry.

Cash is LOW compared to FAANG

My pay isn't lining up with other companies
Review from Design Dept
Very little recognition for hard work. It's difficult to actually execute work life balance with out any form of quota relief when taking PTO. It feels like leadership consistently misses opportunities to reward/ recognize and instead is constantly asking for the bar to be raised.
Review from Sales Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
The level of expertise needed to do my job doesn't seem equal to my salary and experience or similar roles at other companies in my general area.
Review from Customer Success Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
I feel undervalued and not recognized. I perform well at this company, and have often exceeded the expectations in my role. The transition of different HR programs/deployment of new review cycles impacted many peoples salary. I wont see pay adjustments until nearly 2 years of being employed here.
Review from Customer Success Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
You made comp adjustments, and moved many employees to the mid-point of the new range, even those higher than the midpoint. This artificially reduced salary of existing employees against new hires, who almost always come in over mid. It's been over a year and nobody has owned getting this fixed.
Review from Engineering Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
Because I was disadvantaged by the move to our new rating and progression scale when I previously exceeded all metrics, but received no compensation increase, promotion, or equity despite changing roles
Review from Sales Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
I think Klaviyo can do a better job in comp compared to top tech companies
Review from Engineering Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
Compensation based on role expectations and output feels very low. Leveling is inaccurate and salary not in line with comparable companies.
Review from HR Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
I've been a the company for a long time and have been on a few different teams. Instead of looking at everything I've done, it seems like anytime I'm part of a new team, although it is framed as a "great opportunity" it feels like I have to basically start over. And the great opp = Lateral move
Review from Customer Success Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
managers should be getting equity refreshes, and my current job is underpaid for market
Review from Business Development Dept · See Klaviyo's Response
I’m not confident in the gender pay equity at Klaviyo. Certain employees are quiett promoted off cycle to Sr. Director and VP roles while female peers who are over performing are not. It would be great if senior leadership in people ops could actively address these issu
