Basically you will work extra hard and be compensated less than anywhere else. For some reason Kohls seems to think that paying less than the rest and expecting more of each associate is a good thing. We are all exhausted.

Not doing group interviews would be better

My coworkers are the best part of my job.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people that work here are great. For the most part they help each other and are great to get along with!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My management actually listens to their associates and does their best to explain things to us. They are human, and they act that way.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing is the people who help each other here. We can all relate to the difficulties right now, and it makes it a little better.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Kohls pays $5 less than the other major retailers where I am at. Instead of raising out wages, we are getting one "bonus" of $200 at the end October, but only with specific stipulations. The work-pay ratio is way out of proportion.
