Our exec team is diverse, and most are attuned to what's going on in their departments.

We have a diverse exec team. Most of them are attuned with their department.

Quit retroactively apologizing for your bad ideas, and instead get ideas from your actual employees. The top-down 'father knows best' mentality of the entire executive team belongs in the 1960's.

Upper managment is not invested in keeping talent, Churning out as many billable hours as possible is the only metric that is cared about,You will only be a number not a real human

What is the best part about your compensation package?

My base pay is pretty goood - really like the health care benefits

The health insurance is decent.

Health insurance is about as good as American health insurance can get.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I am not being paid a competitive, industry average wage for my position. Being paid at least the industry average should be a start.

The pay is non-competitive. When this is brought to HR's attention, the response has been "we checked a database and you're paid at market". They will not share this mystery database, or any details.

Get rid of utilization and give people actual vacation time.

Co workers are invested in helping make the web, software and hardware, a better experience for people with disabilities.

I work with amazing people, there's no drama, everyone wants to help eachother.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Passion for accessibility, everyone is always willing to help and give good advice

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Executives must know what employees in their department do everyday. They must listen to us and architect the organization in response. They must also accept that it is their role to accept and organize feedback even if it isn't precisely quantitative or rigorously presented.

The company is toxic, and this stems from leadership. "This is what agency work is like" is the refrain, but an honest admission of the company culture is "This is a greed-first cash machine"

Stop treating people as numbers.

Being peppered for 2 hours with non stop questions by a guy on a laptop who won't make eye-contact is not an interview, it's an interrogation. I should have walked out the door immediately.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Our audit quality has drastically declined with the increase in contractors, and it's only a matter of time before it starts losing us business. Our training needs to be accurate to our current processes, updated frequently, and understanding that this is a high-skill job that takes time to learn.
