I am not a job hopper so I continue to do my best to stay positive and work hard. I like my job and benefits provided; I just feel that LHC does not do a good job of showing appreciation to staff that have stayed and remained loyal. I wish it more possible to stay with LHC and advance.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Fair market compensation and an attainable bonus plan.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I have hired agency staff that love what they do and have a positive attitude 95% of the time. We laugh and respect each other.
What makes you most happy at work?
My staff and the quality care we give to patients. I love being a nurse and it means alot that my staff care for patients as I would. This makes my heart smile.
What are some of the best things about your team?
EDs in my state work well together; many of the tenured EDs have left and new hires have come in. I love my agency co workers and that is the #1 reason I have stayed.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Understanding the complete impact the pandemic has had to our country and specifically healthcare and make changes to realign. Budgets increased significantly this year and I feel that was not fair given nurse shortages and staffing challenges.
