Pretty common for mgmt. to move people around but very difficult for a person to request and receive a transfer. We lost a master plumber because she was assigned to cashier and was not allowed to go to plumbing as she was a woman and the male customers would not accept her.

You need really good interactions with customers, product knowledge and be able to use really outdated and mostly dysfunctional software. You'll need a private mobile phone since customers could rarely get to you through the store customer service number and they'll have to call you directly.

Tiny offices that hold only two people. Ridiculous!
I do not pay attention to the office lay out because everything is open to all employees. In otherwards...OPEN DOOR POLICY

Nobody listens. Never have. The knowledge of long time employees is wasted on management.

What marketing strategy? The merchants drive the business and marketing just executes poorly thought out fire drills. I don't think they have one. Doesn't help that there's a new CMO every 6 months and that marketing is vastly understaffed and under skilled.
