  • Pretty common for mgmt. to move people around but very difficult for a person to request and receive a transfer. We lost a master plumber because she was assigned to cashier and was not allowed to go to plumbing as she was a woman and the male customers would not accept her.

  • Evidentally they didn't care for mine

  • You need really good interactions with customers, product knowledge and be able to use really outdated and mostly dysfunctional software. You'll need a private mobile phone since customers could rarely get to you through the store customer service number and they'll have to call you directly.

  • What marketing strategy? The merchants drive the business and marketing just executes poorly thought out fire drills. I don't think they have one. Doesn't help that there's a new CMO every 6 months and that marketing is vastly understaffed and under skilled.
