Pleasantly surprised. I feel valued and like the company wants to keep me here.
Guaranteed life coverage up to $100000. Not sure I'd qualify for it outside of work.
When a lead or colleague shows me how to do something I don't know how to do yet.
Overall decent and kind. They treat me like a person and not a work animal....with respect and consideration as to what I might really want.
We enjoy each other's company a great deal. We help each other with problems and advice that we share (not everyone knows everything about everything)!
Coworkers support each other and treat each other well with positive energy and sincerity overall. I get more help from my co-workers than I do my immediate supervisor, however.
That they are (with one exception) sincerely concerned about my personal happiness as a way to help me do my job to the best of my ability. This motivates me a great deal.
The fact that we are treated with respect from top to bottom. Overall, people try to treat others as they'd like to be treated by looking at what can be done to help, rather than replace someone who has an issue.
Principles outweigh personalities here. The execs and Thomas care about us and put the people first (employees and clients) and that is what catches the profit. It's the first place I WANT to stay at and look forward to be working! I don't worry about being fired/confronted...ever. I feel safe here.
Our weekly meeting where we get to interact with each other and have some fun and show each other just how great and funny we all are....and the amazing way we work together! Getting up to work at Nextiva is great as people come first and problems are always resolved without the emotion.
It is not obvious how to follow up or improve on specific skills connected to my position, and I'm expected to learn additional tech skills on my own. So, I'm not in a position to ask for a better wage. I'd like to be an "XBert" technician, but that course was shelved.
