Nordstrom Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

that it has a lot of benefits

Store discounts, decent overall benefits.

Insurance, discount, PTO, and dental insurance.

I am not very sure about that

I was very surprised at the compensation package.

Insurance package set up for employees

health and vision primeums with broad coverage

Medical benefits pto 401 k

Review from Sales Dept

Unlimited paid time off !

Its fairly managed with open option

Its good and can negotiate according to the current market

The discounts and the pto

The 401K plan is awesome plus the benefits are great

At this time I am home due to testing positive for Covid-19. Before I started work at nordstrom I was laid off from my last job due to covid. Needless to say my budget is still very tight. So it is a comfort in knowing I will not be deduced for sick days but compensated.

Review from Operations Dept

Great company discount on Nordstrom products

Review from Engineering Dept

Thr best part is 401k

Stock purchase and 401K plans.

I was appreciative about all the benefits , had no problem with none of it.

Review from Sales Dept

401k Plan Dental Health Insurance

Company matches your contributes at 7%.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Hourly raise, better commission snd chNge teturn policy

Review from Sales Dept

There are too many salespeople competing on the salesfloor therefore it is challenging to make decent commission, returns are also deducted from commission pay and returns can be made at any time. The expectations to provide great customer service are high yet the pay is very low.

I could be making much more at another company. I feel I was misled in the interview process and told I could not be offered more, only to find out I was lowballed. I wish the company offered more than 3-5% yearly raises as this doesn't keep up with inflation.

yes, very. Diversity is drying up as the wave of layoff's, riff's and attrition have been DAI and women IC roles and LT roles.

Harassment. No support from HR

No commission. Commission places individual interests above customers and the brand. Pay us a fair wage and give commission based incentives or bonuses.

Should be some incentive for doing a good job

Review from Operations Dept

the compensation is definitely undervalued

Feeling cared for by management and the company,

I feel undervalued because of the amount of work the team and I do in comparison to how much we are getting paid.

Review from Customer Support Dept

A bit more than the hourly since we are a great compny

Everyone I know outside Nordstrom has received raises in the last year or so. A cost of living raise at the very least is indicated

Review from Operations Dept

I was offered a role at a competitor paying double. I am activly intervieing and most companies are paying at least 60% more for roles i am in final rounds of interviews for.

The only thing that matters here is numbers, so you feel you as a person, your kindness and effort and attebtion to customers means nothing - and its really hard to perform here amidst the stress you have in your own life and give great customer service when you know the pay is terrible

I am a part time employee whi hits 1st place on 9/10 of my shifts, i only work about 25 hours a week and dont recieve commision. I have seen the break downs of my commision but a part time employee making sales as good if not better than the full time employees and no commission doesn't make sense.

New hires are getting payed the same as i am and i been with the company for 8 yesrs

Review from Product Dept

Because new hires are getting payed the same about as i am and ive been working at nordstrom for about 8 yesrs and i feel thats very unfair

Overworked, and because we are so understaff management expects you to carry all that extra weight instead of helping themselves. I'd love for them to acknowledge people like me have other responsibilities like school. Also my commision should be based on the hours im working not everyone elses!

They removed the assitstant managers position and combine many departments into one. Leaving managers over worked and causing the depaartments look a hot mess due to the lack of attention to detail bc they are too stresse and over worked

Review from Sales Dept

To get a job at the store. Again
