Overall, I love Petco as a company, and I love working with the animals. The problem is that much of it is marred by poor senior leadership that asks too much of the stores. Stores don't get enough support for the amount of traffic and tasking that is required of them.

The most positive aspect is animal care.

Interacting with the animals and with guests.

It was a more casual interview process.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The sheer amount of work that we must perform with little-to-no training and poor pay is absurd.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people who work at Petco have a genuine love of the animals, and that is something we can all rally around.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Store leadership is very keen on holding people accountable. Some people don't like this because it means they actually have to do their jobs.
