Senior execs are only in it for themselves and the majority shareholder. Laid off people and eliminated the 401k match during 2020, and then took huge comp increases in 2021.

Encourage more openness and reward risk taking.

Need to encourage greater transparency and a willingness to speak up when things are not right.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Little brand equity. Company was over leveraged for a long time, and as a result a lack of investment in marketing, people, and private label products.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
401k plan is/has been top heavy forever, and as a result impossible to save a lot for retirement. Senior management needs to fix it instead of just talking about it.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Need to better people leaders and at developing people. A lot of lip service given to wanting to make the company a place for career growth, but opportunities only afforded to the few that kiss up to management.
