My coworkers would benefit from working more as a team and less as a shift by shift operation. Everyone looks out for themselves and not for the team as a whole.
Better training would make the culture better. Also consequences for poor performance would be a start. And better recognition of good work instead of only focusing on the things that go wrong.
My job is too stressful because we work most weekends and we work long stretches with people who are doing the same. Burnout is a very obvious thing in our area. We could use a re-Invented shift operation that includes a weekend shift(s) to make the job better.
