Review from Engineering Dept
Very pleasant experience. I look forward to come to work everyday.
Review from Engineering Dept
Great work experience. Working here will provide daily learning experiences and challenges.
Review from Engineering Dept
I feel over looked and unappreciated. I honestly feel my position has become a dead end job.
Review from Engineering Dept
they offer good design advice
Review from Engineering Dept
The leadership team is diligently trying to improve internal processes and communications to help projects flow more smoothly.
Review from Engineering Dept
The team is engaged in our success. They care about the details as well as the big picture.
Review from Engineering Dept
The company has several areas where improvement is needed. (Part management, work load balance, employee retention, employee development, operation procedures, to name a few). The leaders of the company seem to recognize some of these issues and are looking for solutions.
Review from Engineering Dept
There is no bureaucracy in the organization which allows decision to be made quicker and within the group that is dealing at close with the challenge.
Review from Engineering Dept
Leadership team does not understand what leadership is.
Review from Engineering Dept
Listening to their direct reports. There are people who have been at Shuttleworth a long time. Some on the leadership team need to understand our product better. Some have been here a while and still don't know how or where to direct efforts.
Review from Engineering Dept
Keeping me engaged in my work and advancing my opportunities.
Review from Engineering Dept
Communication. Sharing, as well as setting, goals and objectives.
Review from Engineering Dept
Focus on offering a quality product rather than increasing the bottoms line.
Review from Engineering Dept
Fair pay for the position
Review from Engineering Dept
There are a few things that I would like to see added but what I am offered seems to be average. Meaning that I am not left lacking.
Review from Engineering Dept
Salary and PTO. I like the fact that PTO is very flexible and for the most parts you can take the PTO when you need and want.
Review from Engineering Dept
Providing annual raises and reviews to all employees.
Review from Engineering Dept
The 401k employer match and PTO plan are great
Review from Engineering Dept
I do the job of multiple people due to being short staffed and am not compensated for it. Also inflation has resulted in my previous raise being more of a pay cut than a raise.
Review from Engineering Dept
Merit raises are not keeping pace with inflation. Management needs to seriously consider increasing compensation to retain talented and experienced employees.
Review from Engineering Dept
Yes. Pay increases that reflect not only true cost of living increases but the amount of work performed. "Great job on another record year! Three years in a row!...sorry best we can do is 3% pay increases with '9%' inflation."
Review from Engineering Dept
As experience and education advance, so should compensation and position. There is a need to keep up with inflation as well.
Review from Engineering Dept
as a salaried employee i am expected to work at least my 8 hours everyday even if my work is ahead. My compensation reflects a 40 hour work week but i am averaging around 50 hrs a week. If we are salaried we should be treated like we are responsible enough to get the project done on our own hours.
Review from Engineering Dept
We work hard and do our best to communicate with each other to solve problems even when management is not around.
Review from Engineering Dept
they always assist when someone has a question
Review from Engineering Dept
I enjoy working with a large group of engineers. The majority of us are younger engineers, and we are willing to collaborate and share ideas.
Review from Engineering Dept
Everyone is nice and willing to help
Review from Engineering Dept
We work well together and have been able to create a friendly environment that did not used to exist.
Review from Engineering Dept
Do not rush through a job with the bare minimum of design or effort
Review from Engineering Dept
Nothing positive to say about the work culture.
Review from Engineering Dept
we joke about how bad our system is
Review from Engineering Dept
The products we make are exciting, everyone seems proud of what we do.
Review from Engineering Dept
The common politeness and/or friendship that is shared throughout the company.
Review from Engineering Dept
Important decisions are made at our level. That allows experts on the matter to make decisions and have accountability at the same time.
Review from Engineering Dept
Leadership team members showing up on time for meetings and staying for the whole meeting. Every time a VP shows up late or leaves early for a meeting, it's very disrespectful to the remaining attendees. Leadership team listening more to their team.
Review from Engineering Dept
A more autonomous atmosphere. Recognition and support from management on skills and abilities could improve.
Review from Engineering Dept
accountability, higher skill levels within the workforce.

Working on a project from start to finish gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
Review from Engineering Dept
Teamwork ok ok ok ok
Review from Engineering Dept
I have freedom to make my own decisions that impacts my performance which at the end impacts the business performance.
Review from Engineering Dept
Seeing machines we designed and built working and running
Review from Engineering Dept
Completing tasks and getting a feeling of accomplishment after a long day, week or month.
Review from Engineering Dept
again, if we were treated like actual salaried employees and not hourly
Review from Engineering Dept
The company is simply average in what it does without excelling in anything. Limited manufacturing, suboptimal organization, assembly is delayed from missing parts, engineering is mixed with different levels of experience. The company needs to focus on each area individual and improve beyond average
Review from Engineering Dept
Disengaged from the work being done. Feeling a lack of purpose or impact.
Review from Engineering Dept
Advance challenges and recognize efforts. Also recognize the need for growth and advancement.
Review from Engineering Dept
Quality is not a priority. Timelines are too aggressive. Management is too prideful to admit mistakes or acknowledge good ideas. There is little to no incentive to do a good job. Make quality a priority, use realistic timelines, and reward people for good work and/or ideas.
