The Vergennes Vermont facility does not give employees equal work for equal pay, the pay scale is completely askew from the standard and there is no defined way to progress to the next level, some people are promoted meritoriously, some for time with the company, and some are never promoted.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Equal pay for equal work.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Nothing is outstandingly great, there are enough benefits to make it worth while staying, but the pay scale is not nearly as thought out.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Listening to the quality and manufacturing concerns of their manufacturing employees on the assembly floor instead of doing what is best in their own eyes.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I cannot think of a most positive, possibly the leniency and flexibility of time off requests, though that is not always the case for all managers in the plant.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Most of our Engineer team is only concerned with what makes themselves look better and what improves their portfolio instead of actually valuing manufacturing employee input and trying to make meaningful change.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Communication between lower level employees, however this is also the downfall with new employees being hired and leaving due to lack of equal compensation so often that the training process is not even finished for many employees.
