Southwest Airlines Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Stock Options and annual bonuses

Review from Operations Dept

Flight benefits were good ,

Well paid for our postions.

401k match!!! And stock discount perchase

Travel Benefits, paid time off, 401k

Free flights and 401k match

Health insurance, 401k match, flight benefits, work remotely, time flexibility, etc...

A well rounded package that is carefully thought out and offefed.

Flight benefit as well as health insurance

Great retirement and flight benefits

Flight Benifits are incredible. Love it!

Generous 401k Match and great health benefits

it the best compair to other airlines.

9.3% company match for retirement

Benefits are competitive with other industry - 401K has 9.3% match and of course travel privileges are an asset!

The ability to fly and have benefits.

The 401k match and profit sharing

That I get a compensation. Most companies don't offer

All of it is amazing!

The 401k is one of the best in the industry

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

It's been over 5 years since our work group has received an increase in compensation. Meanwhile the Consumer Price Index has risen 22%. At the very least, we need a Cost Of Living Adjustment.

Compensation that is comparable to my region

stop taking away benefits or pay higher salary

Base pay was lower than market rate

This ruined my marriage. What amount of compensation would make this better?!

More transparency in compensation and salary ranges for non-contract positions

If they forced people to work close to none and brought staffing back up, then they would have a chance at restoring their integrity. But when leadership is only focused on their lack of annual raises l, they will take it out on the little guy with a union.

I live in a high cost of living city but when people quit due to Covid I received more job duties with no raise in pay

Six and half years of frozen wages during record profit times

Review from Engineering Dept

No hospitality towards the employees from leadership

Review from Customer Support Dept

Better pay for rampers would be nice

Review from Operations Dept

No pay raise in seven years during record profits is bad

Review from Engineering Dept

Salary alone is less than other airlines. However total benefit package may bring everything up to even.

The pay scale is reviewed every 2 years. The increase in pay scale is around 1% which is not much, and is usually accompanied by negative changes to the attendance policy or increases in out of pocket med. benefits costs. You never truly get a raise because the always take it back in some other way/

Review from Operations Dept

Supervisors are abused and typically have 1 day off per week. Many Supervisors work overtime each day too. High turnover and bad moral has been the theme in this work group for years. They took our sick time away and combined in with our vacation time. Pay is not in writing or guaranteed.
