What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Actually leading and training managers to be managers. Our stores cannot keep a manager because they are under paid & over worked.

I personally feel as though I truely put effort to my job and want to value everyone within my work enviroment. However its discouraging to hear management say "they are just another body that cuts", or to set a unnecessary competitive precendent within the job makes it hard to want to be here.

I believe there is a nice combination of salary plus performance based compensation.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Not that I feel undervalued just feel some of us have been doing best to keep store a float and trying to come back from Covid and instead of the positive and try to build from what we slacked on from being short the new stylist or returning team members just feel unappreciated and then get let go.

I feel we shoud all start at a wage of $15/ hour. We all paid around 20k for school and employees at companies like Chick-fil-A and targert are making $15-$17/ hour with no education needed. I feel as inflation is going up our wages should as well.

$11 an hour in florida is hard to pay rent & put food on the table. Our leaders believe our high tips are the reason they shouldnt raise the minimum.

I feel undervalued because I feel as though no matter how hard I work and try to go above and beyond, I continue to be overlooked on. I feel as though we are trying to incentivize others to join the team and not have the same energy for the people who have been here while being understaffed.

Owners stirs up issues and talks/gossips about the stylists and causes tension. Fairness in scheduling is nonexistent. Management takes off way too much.

I used to love it until new management took into account. Area coach and manager do not know how to do their jobs and none of them communicate or convey the responsibilities that are required of us correctly or change their minds all the time and treat us like we are a nuisance

Overall I just want to be looked at seriously as a person on the team sometimes. Not neccessarily asking for words of encouragment and praise but acknowledging how I comtribute to the team.

Working more as a team. And being fair and honest. I feel if you want your team to do well management needs do to well. That goes from the talk you bring into the shop from your numbers to your speed we need stronger examples with out competition. we should all be top stylists.
