Clear communication on expectation and reward them accordingly. Decisions are made behind the door with out employee involvement.
Honesty and integrity. Current leader of consulting manages thru fear and threatens to "fire" everyone regularly.
They need to get better at treating everybody as equals. Also the amount of nepotism is highly unprofessional. If there was some kind of protocol that leadership should follow that would probably be best for the company they are trying to represent.
Paying people what they are worth and not taking advantage of the people who make the company profitable.
First the manager has to learn how to treat the employees. Then have a mind to consider employee's genuine cases. The kind of project lead which I got, ruins the reputation of the whole TCS company. I will not suggest anyone to join TCS, just because of one person that is my manager.
Treat TCS India employees same as TCS US employees. And give salary as per market standard

Make the performance and appraisal system personalized. If the employee is performing extremely well, then he deserves to be valued and rewarded. I have spent 4.5 years with A, A, B and C banding and so far my increment is 4000 for 4 years.

TCS always want to keep Board of directors happy and not care wellbeing of employees. They should feel employees are their core and feel them to be part of TCS Family. HR and Managers should have high moral and ethics.
