What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Executives need to break their circle and start acting as mentors.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Honesty, transparency, keeping a standard for employee conduct equal across the agency, keeping the standard for promotions, changes is positions and raises standard across the company. Outlining career paths for growth. Training managers on people management.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Leadership does not acknowledge the hard work and effort someone puts in. They reward based on the squeakiest wheel. Instead of proactively retaining their employees, they react when an employee leaves and try to get competitive.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Steve B. really tries to show he cares about you as a person. His interactions are never fake and he does seem to genuinely want you to succeed. The rest of the Leadership team could take some pointers from him.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is the best team in the agency. We treat each other like a family and support each other. I have never had a single team member tell me "that is not my job" everyone flexes in and supports wherever they are capable.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay should be based on the value you bring. Someone who puts in 55-60 hours and contributes at a Director level should not be making less than someone who puts in the 45 required at a Manager level. Pay between men and women at TA is not equal. It is an issue and needs to be addressed.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Culture at TA is a bit toxic. There is an inner circle club and there are specific people who look down on anyone not in that club. There are people at TA that really want everyone to succeed and are looking out for each other though. It is too bad the few toxic make it hard to enjoy working here.
