Topgolf for me was only meant to be a "filler" job until I could find something else. What I didn't realize was that it would become my career. I have been given the opportunity to grow into multiple leadership roles and have been able to travel the country opening up Topgolf venues.
What makes you most happy at work?
The biggest factor in what makes me most happy at work is the people I work with. I can't begin to number all the lifelong friendships that I have made around the world because of Topgolf.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership at Topgolf is cut from the same cloth. From what I have experienced as an associate at Topgolf is that the leadership within values growth, hard work and reliability. The associates that can adapt and grow while working hard do get rewarded.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive part about the culture and environment at Topgolf is when you're surrounded by people that want to make Moments that Matter for Everyone, the days are fun and more-often-than-not, uplifting. The dress up days, volunteer days and spirit days in general help to keep moral up!
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some of the best things about the team at Topgolf is the results of which we get out of our hiring process. Because of the way we hire, our associates are similar in their goals, attitude and mindset which makes for a work environment that combines both fun and teamwork.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Although yearly raises are a thing at Topgolf, I think with the competitive nature of the world today, along with the amount of growth/value this company has there is a lot of room to improve when it comes to hourly and salaried pay. Raising the wage would help to keep associates for longer.
