Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

LHC is a wonderful place to work in many ways, however there is a huge disconnect between home office and the reality of the field. Impossible standards & expectations with lower pay make it difficult to compete in the local markets for staff across all positions.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Incentive Compensation is fair and achievable.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

My direct leader is invested in my personal growth and invests his time to broaden my view and make me better.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

My leader's desire to help mold me into a better leader - not just metrics oriented, but truly to expand my skills in leadership.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My peers have a broad variety of experiences and are willing to share their insight and work collaboratively even when it does not directly benefit themselves.

What makes you most happy at work?

Feeling of accomplishment, being able to support & guide my team through difficult situations, the thrill of problem solving and seeing challenges be overcome and an agency or individual begin to thrive.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My counterparts across the division are top notch. We lean on one another day to day not only for business needs but also for emotional support. We have developed trust and strength as a team that cannot be fabricated or forced.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Divisional Leader truly cares about me as a person and invests in me as a professional. Executive Leadership stays connected to the true heart beat of our team and truly looks for ways to show they care about more than the bottom line.

What makes you most happy at work?

The ability to make a difference in the lives of the team that I support. It is my job to bridge the gap between home office and the agency level. I take that very seriously and I love doing my part to spread LHC Culture.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The market shows that higher wages are warranted but that is not taken into account. The company is based in Louisiana where cost of living is extremely low. Those making salary decisions fail to look beyond that on a regular basis. More responsibility should be rewarded with more compensation.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The leadership at LHC does not preach a message, they live the message. That message then permeates through every level of the organization. It can be see on any visit to home office in any department. It is a truly remarkable phenomenon that cannot be faked. LHC is full of authenticity.
