Ideally principals of Cracker barrel are amazing and employees are happy to be there with each other and people who come for the product. A Garentee of the employment being offer when hired(hours/pay being advertised), and proper training for the job after employment. A basic understanding of how to do and what is expected of each position. Offering proper time to complete the expectations and securing scheduled hours.

As an employee of 11 years any sense of equality or consistency for all employees. An ability to know that through seniority I will reach financial steps not based on my ability to beg or negotiate. Knowing that in the winter months our hours won't get cut.

I like food period. I garden and cook at home. If it were not for the pay difference I would cook and do back of the house over serving and doing Togo's. I love talk to guest about gardening tips and tricks, recipes, and what new in the world.

The best thing about coming to work is the co-workers and regular guest. The delightful only see them once in your life guest, you have a Convo about tomatoes or what have you, is great too. Being a grill cook and being super busy but joking with your buddies makes it worth it too.

I had to come in for 3 in person interviews prior to being hired after they told my brother(working there as a dishwasher at the time) that I should apply for a job there. Was not given the hours promised and had to work 6 closing shifts a week to get close. I'm an employee of 11 years now
