Pay is good comparibly for the industry (when marginalized people arent held back from promotions which equal better pay.)

The leadership team does not recognize and prevent toxic leadership/coworkers and marginalized folks are gaslit and eventually leave. Values are parroted but not followed. Its a crap shoot how you are treated depending on the team you are on.

We do have lots of open places to speak up about how we feel (when those questions are not immediately deflected by defensive business speak). The ERGs, D&I team, and events team are the more healthy and fun parts of the environment.

Interviewing is unregulated and unfair as the questions asked and evaluation is up to individual engineers to deem for themselves and getting a good mark in an interview is a gamble on who gave you the question rather than a standard rubrics and questions to enforce fairness in envaluation.

Coworkers need required non-bias training and a long talk about whats important at work and how not to be toxic. Manangement is cold and uncaring and focuses on short term goals instead of long term. Tech debt takes years to get rid of and old painful problems do not get solved.

Toxic co-workers need to be actually reprimanted instead of only focusing on product delivery as a means of kudos and promotions. Women are routinely and predictaby looked over for promotions while simply being at the right place at the right time will get a man promoted even if he has less skill.
