I love the job. The benefits are good, but the matching 401 could be better. Wages could be higher since deployments dropped to make it competitive. And shift differential pay really should be a thing. Otherwise, I go to work happy, I come home happy. Not a lot of stress.
We're a small site, so we take care of each other more than large companies would.
We look out for each other. Everyone here is happy to be here, so no one is disgruntled, taking away from the shop.
Our team is small, so we're all invested to make sure things are great. All of my efforts and cares are matched and addressed perfectly. This shop is great.
I like that the CEO addresses some issues in a public forum. That's all I know about the leadership team of the company. My personal leadership team where I work is awesome.
I think the pace is great and the mission we do is awesome. I love that this isn't a stressful position, and I am not constantly cleaning up someone elses mess.
Every other company in the aviation industry offers shift differential pay for working an off shift. I think AEVEX needs to do that as well. Additionally, with losing deployment sites, we're losing annual income; this should be addressed with higher wages to compensate the lost deployments.
I like that my work ethic and value of my work is how I'm judged. I enjoy just being able to go to work and work; there's no politics in the work center and I don't have crazy additional duties piled on my plate with no compensation.
