I loved my job with charter, right up until the company bought time warner cable and quadrupled in size. Everyone is micromanaged to death, constantly hounded to do more work, the company doesn't fix major issues. All they care about is their stock price.

Allowing their employees to do their jobs. There is no trust between leadership and their employees.

The interview process is basically just a drug test. They don't care about anything else. If you have a valid driver's license and can pass a drug test then you get the job.

Hire more people. Don't try to increase middle management bonuses by running a skeleton crew in every field division, and then expect every employee to do 12 hours of work in an 8 hour day. Treat the employees like people, not robots.

A new employee fresh off the street after one year could be making more than I am after 7 years with the company. My raises have disappeared, and the bonuses that they give in their place are effectively non-existent since they come in your bi-weekly paycheck.

Everyone is pitted against each other, so why would someone help someone else. ALL of your raises and bonuses are based off stacked ranking, so no matter how well you do on your metrics there will ALWAYS be people ranked in the bottom 20% which means you don't get a raise.
