How employees describe working at Spectrum
Pretty laid back and good logical questions
Like any call center job the burnout rate is high. The benefits are great as is the pay fir thus type if wirk. The attendance policy however is absurdly strict.
Consistency. The service very seldom has problems.
Since it became Spectrum nothing good came out of this company, management is at its worse. Very high attrition rate, they cant hang on to employees, never saw a company with such a high turn over rate. There are other jobs out there folks, walk past this one its not worth a pretty penny.
Stressful... work day is 9 hours but 1 hour if that is your unpaid break. You still work 8 hour a day unlike most jibs where it's 8 hours and you work 7.5 w/a 30 min unpaid break for lunch.

How hard is it to get promoted at CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS, INC.?
All about who you know, not what you know. I got passed up for a position that was very technical in nature for someone who had zero technical knowledge. Reason? She was sleeping with the person hiring for the position.
If you have a relationship, friend, or relative. Fast to promote.
I don't think it's hard at all as long as you work hard and get yourself noticed.
What's the work from home policy like at CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS, INC.?
Top Employee Response
Charter will not accommodate work from home as an ADA accomodation despite being unable to demonstrate this being unreasonable.
They are enforcing everyone back into the office. Even people exposed to Covid. Wife tested positive for Covid and HR told me to come back into the office despite the fact I was exposed. Going against CDC guidelines to quarantine. The other option was to use all my time off to stay at home. This is despite the fact my department is setup from the get go, to work from home in case of crisis, weather etc. My job can be done 100% remotely with zero issues. They don't care, they tell you come into the office anyways
There is no work from home policy. All remote working situations need to be agreed upon within the hiring team / manager.
Is it true Charter Communications has black out dates during the holidays so employees are not allowed to take off the week of Christmas
True. You have to bid for a schedule on ALL company recognized holidays, and it may not be your regular shift. Even if it’s your regular day off, you are still required to bid. Failure to bid, puts you in a schedule not chosen within the team. (Usually the most undesirable one-the late night shift). You may get the day off ONLY if there are enough employees to cover the day needed. This is determined by their prediction of call flow for that given holiday. In addition, the bid is based on the last three months of your job performance, aka metrics “numbers” from your department. (This does not include your dept. at other sites). If you’re forced to work, you will get double time (vacation day, plus 8 hours). If you call out on a holiday, you get zero $0, a possible (unless you’re in the hospital on life support, or an immediate family member dies) a written reprimand and you’re on their radar. Bids are any where from/between the hours of (day) 700-1630 & (night) 1630-0200
Yes that is true but not Specifically Christmas. First of the Year employees are given the opportunity to "BID" for the Holidays that they would like to have off. Its no gurarantee that they will receive these days but they are guaranteed 2 holidays out of the Year. any other holidays they will be required to work unless told otherwise.
