How employees describe working at Spectrum
Pretty laid back and good logical questions
Like any call center job the burnout rate is high. The benefits are great as is the pay fir thus type if wirk. The attendance policy however is absurdly strict.
Consistency. The service very seldom has problems.
Since it became Spectrum nothing good came out of this company, management is at its worse. Very high attrition rate, they cant hang on to employees, never saw a company with such a high turn over rate. There are other jobs out there folks, walk past this one its not worth a pretty penny.
Stressful... work day is 9 hours but 1 hour if that is your unpaid break. You still work 8 hour a day unlike most jibs where it's 8 hours and you work 7.5 w/a 30 min unpaid break for lunch.

What are your coworkers at Spectrum like?
Coworkers are great
Most are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Where I work two cities divided into two Crews and although there's continual healthy competition between the two there is also continual support for new and inexperienced techs and management fosters an environment of respect and team work.
Does CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS, INC. have any remote positions?
No. Charter has been eliminating work from home or from remote offices and requiring people to be at a specific facility (St. Louis, Charlotte, Stamford mainly).
Not Officially -- in fact, it was one of the main culture clashes when BHN, TWC, and Charter combined -- TWC & BHN had remote workers, and Charter (the purchasing company) generally frowned on that

2 personal days your first 6 months, afterward 3 weeks of vacation each year plus 4 personal days and accuring sick time.
Its about average for most large businesses. 3 weeks to start and then up from there after a few years.
If you could change anything about your job, what would it be?
The culture regarding remote working and working from home could use a large adjustment.
Would like it if Charter was better at paying long time employees a competitive salary.. Seeing too many good people walk out the door to take higher paying jobs with other companies. I feel like I'm being punished for being a loyal employee of 17 years.

How are layoffs handled in the Customer Support department at CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS, INC.?
Ask the insecure supervisors and managers how they get with their friends in HR department to help justify their illegitimate reasons as to why they want to terminate certain individuals. Simply, it’s because management gets upset with the employee that doesn’t participate in the groveling that their ego so demands. Employees are there to be seen, not to be heard. If employees are heard, they don’t want them to be seen. Again.
