My time at the company has been enjoyable with lots of personable people. In terms of feedback: the promotion process is bureaucratic when it should be more meritocratic; this is most evident in the difference between engineering and non-engineering promotions.

The culture is very empathetic with everyone acknowledging the reality of people's situations. No-one expects people to be motivated because they get to use the shiny new technology; instead they focus on a realistic reward and perk structure.

I most enjoy the chance to have an impact. This is because Credit Karma is in the sweet spot of being big enough to make moves into new markets, but small enough that an individual's role still matters.

The leadership team has a level of transparency I have never experienced before. This is a double edged sword; however I am a firm believer of honest, straight-forwardness which they excel at. When the conversation is hard they don't shy away and act like it never happened, they face it head-on.
