My experience at Paycom has been positive. I have a strong team that I enjoy being part of. I learn something new every day I work. I had forgotten how much I enjoy learning until I came to work here. My brain has definitely become more bendy.
Benefits start quickly. Some immediately, the rest after 90 days.
The people. Most of the people here want to be here and that's nice.
I love working with a global workforce that has as much diversity as you could imagine. It's great.
Seeing other people achieve personal growth is a big win for me. I feel like I grow when they grow.
Leadership works with the information they have, but they will adjust course when presented with new or updated information. It's refreshing.
Willingness to teach and give guidance. If you are interested in learning and doing your job right, most of my team members are very open and supportive.
People feel safe being themselves here because professional civility and respect are expected and reciprocated across the board. You will meet an entire planet's worth of varied peoples in this microcosm campus in northwest OKC and I love that.
When I ask questions to learn more about how to contribute better to my team, they immediately spend time giving me pointers, feedback, and mentoring me. That's quite an honor considering time is the one asset we can never get back or accumulate more of.
In a 24/7 department, it's not unusual for a manager to never even meet all the shifts in person. Ours does. Information he could probably put in an email, he brings personally and addresses us face to face. That's unheard of these days and it's awesome.
Most of our benefits start immediately after hire. Some of them start after a month or so. In today's world, that's incredible. I've worked at places that made you wait a year before you could participate in parts of the compensation package. At Paycom you're jumping right in.
