Everyone comes from different backgrounds and upbringings, and it's never difficult to reach out and connect, even if you've never spoken before. My colleagues are easily my favorite part of the Meltwater experience.

What makes you most happy at work?

Getting to work with my colleagues, and having the opportunity to learn something new every day, no matter the topic. The product, our industry, any clients' industry... the opportunity to learn is only restricted by your curiosity.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

A higher base salary that competes with the industry averages. There's too much unpredictability around how much you'll be paid from paycheck to paycheck, and that makes it difficult to plan ahead financially, especially in cities with a high cost of living.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Everyone embraces it and is extremely supportive of each other. Internal competition is always embraced, but never to the point of toxicity, and it makes you want to improve. Knowledge sharing is also easy to come by, and there's always someone willing to answer your questions.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

There's a clear vision for where the future of the industry is and how they want to shape the company to best fit that outlook. Although sometimes changes are made with haste, it's clear that the intentions are always for the betterment of the product, and the employees.
