I have been working for uhaul for nearly 13 years. 3 years as a temp and 9.5 years as a full time employee at one of their welding plants. I work with a team that builds fixtures for the robotic welders. Parts are precision cut with laser systems. Uhauls benifits are outstanding.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Very relaxed in my area. Cant say the same about the rest of the plant. Im not involved in production issues directly although my team supports production as our number one goal. We drop everything to address what ever the issue is as it relates to my department.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Free stock. 2 weeks vacation, after 10 years 3 weeks. 2 weeks a year PTO time. Paid medical premiums. Employer donations to HSA accounts along with matched employee donations to HSA. Where i work paid lunch breaks. Nearly all can be done thru app including requests for early pay, pto, vacaton w2s.
