U-Haul Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Bathrooms are cleaner than s some shops

Very simple stuff to do and easy to learn.

Review from Operations Dept

We all look out for one another

Almost everyone is at the level

Open communication. Acknowledge mistakes and learn from them while remaining optimistic. Stay on program.

Diverse back ground, bilingual cultural sharing and understanding tolerance towards others believes and general walks of life.

We are all trying to help people with their problems and reduce their stress to the best of our ability

Taking care of customers first

Getting the job done together as a team

Our coworkers are what keeps us going

Management are very understanding with the employees

We are at a new store that just opened up so we are not very busy yet, We all have a very relaxed and team oriented attitude much different from some other stores I've been at

just all around friendly staff

Positive teamwork yields exceptional results

Everyone wants too learn and be better at their job

Review from Customer Support Dept

We are helping people through what could either be the best day or worst day of their life! Either way, I love being there. I helped.

There is nothing positive about my job

No culture issue only what matters is any position given we do it by faith

Review from Operations Dept

Helping people. From truck rentals to storage.

Very relaxed in my area. Cant say the same about the rest of the plant. Im not involved in production issues directly although my team supports production as our number one goal. We drop everything to address what ever the issue is as it relates to my department.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Expections are unrealistic and so is the work life balance

Managers Don't need to be so condescending

More staff to assist or help.

It needs an overhaul at the top.

I am discouraged that hard work and reliability isn’t noticed and rewarde

Change of pay and hiring from within.

Micromanaging is outdated & horrible for morale. Flexibility & autonomy can go a long way with most employees. Updating "the way things work" into the 2000's is sorely needed

No favortism to certain employees, sexaul comments, and be consistent

Get rid of the CEO and the also the favoritism and nepotism. Provide your good workers with a livable wage. Stop abusing the less fortunate. Protect your investment by investing in those who up hold your investment.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The.gms.and the mangers who.dont train

new staff new mangers. not poor idioit new bedford opeople

Review from Operations Dept

Probably better management and more discipline

They need to come up with known policies as opposed to quoting policies that are not readily shared from over 10 years ago that will be brought up months after starting. They also need to adhere to these policies and TRULY encourage teamwork as opposed to stifling communication and learning.

Better management and better management training

Uhaul upper management is horrible

Review from Operations Dept

The old guard at U-Haul who have been there forever who are unwilling to change, need to step aside and let people who know how to make change actually make that change otherwise U-Haul's competitors are going to stomp them into the ground. There's a good old boy network that won't go away.

Review from Marketing Dept

Have a manager that doesn’t change the rules constantly b

Review from Sales Dept

Better positive outlook on everyday duties.

Review from Operations Dept

More camaraderie and communication between employees

Review from Marketing Dept

Stop forcing employees to be healthy, rework the budget so there are more employees for customers and managers can work the 49 he's they are paid for not the 40 hrs over that uhaul makes them work for free
