U-Haul Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

It a working interview based on performance.

Review from Operations Dept

The three day working interview

It was personal, face to face.

Timely and efficient straight to the point

Was good and positive at first

Meeting my new general manager

Them asking you everything you could do to improve rhe team

I like that it was hands on

you were able to get a hands on experience to see if the job is something you will like before actually taking the job

No interview. On the job training

Review from Customer Support Dept

I loved that it was difficult. They truly want the best, and if you’re not willing to bring that to the interview, why would we want you to bring less than your A-game to work each da

Character was over all behavers

Review from Operations Dept

I was taken seriously. When I told my recruiter about my goals to climb up the company ranks. And save uhaul lots of money on repairs and installation process of anything electrical. J could save the company tens of thousands of dollars. On contractors fees.

Review from Engineering Dept

Seemed like a reasonable place to work

Review from Customer Support Dept

Quick easy and to the point.

It was virtual during the pandemic

Very open and forward about expectations.

Review from Operations Dept

They hire on the spot and have opportunities to grow in. The onboarding process is a series of online slideshow classes they have put together; however, these are often outdated and don't directly reflect current POS systems.

Interviewer was great and to the point. She made me feel as if i wasn't being interviewed.

Review from Sales Dept

The interview was quick and over teams meeting. I got the results at the end of the interview, and they informed me that I was hired

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Not a whole lot needs team players

They don't even give real interviews. They don't even discuss wages with you. If you can work and you are desperate for money. They want you!!!!

Review from Customer Support Dept

Have an actual interviewer who has spent more than 2 minutes looking over your resume and actually prep for interviews

Drug test first before anything then we can talk

Be better then do you have a valid drivers license

Better interactions and better support.

Review from Operations Dept

Interviewers came in with a previously determined opinion, that no matter how well I interviewed I was over-qualified and they were not going to consider me. I was told this by my direct supervisor,

Review from Operations Dept

Stop drug testing - it's useless and discriminatory
