Leadership needs to get better at actually identifying sales tactics, it shouldn't matter if someone follows a script if they can close a sale, not should you push people to reserve when they aren't comfortable. I found the random monitoring a bit stressful as at any point, a call is monitored

Working with family makes it hard to maintain professionalism.

There is no leadership. Managers are only there for themselves and refuse to help any of their employees rise in the career. It is normal to work under 4 different managers within the same year. The retention rate of managers is abysmal. Managers are awful because they are treated awfully by U-haul.

They need people skills and education

Better gm accountability and more clear instructions on raises and benifits to that nature

The health insurance and 401 k

There's nothing great about it. I mean the bonuses are ok when we get them but that's about it.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Some people do is little as possible and get more hours than me. I never sit down and I do hitch installations and the people that who do not get the same pay as me

Base pay I feel should be increased, this loops back to their whole comission based pay scheme. Honestly, the 13 an hour I recieved was fine, but not for the intense stress they put you under

To avoid high turn overs, maybe compensate better than minimum wage. And don't lie during interview. Less power tripping managers. I work as Sales and Reservations work from home position.

feeling undervalued is an understatement. You are nothing more than name tag to them. You are forced to keep their illegal practices a secret but if something goes wrong your head is the first on the chopping block. Also, The better you do at your job the more likely your weekends will be taken away

my team works together fine. it is the rest of upper management in uhaul that can't work with the rest of us. There is minimal to no training for lower management that is geared for success.

The most positive is probably the few messages I had with other team managers, my manager just wasn't very good

I beleive it would be cust.always right

My boss makes it comfortable and a positive experience to be there every day even if he's having a bad day.

The old guard at U-Haul who have been there forever who are unwilling to change, need to step aside and let people who know how to make change actually make that change otherwise U-Haul's competitors are going to stomp them into the ground. There's a good old boy network that won't go away.

The interview was quick and over teams meeting. I got the results at the end of the interview, and they informed me that I was hired

Have an actual interviewer who has spent more than 2 minutes looking over your resume and actually prep for interviews

It probably have to be the Keurig machine

I'd say closing a sale would be the best part, because you can almost feel some of the weight from management being lifted. Other than that, the hours were miserable and the holiday breaks are nonexistent. I was a "part-time" employee working over 40 hours a week, thus recieving no PTO benefits

Having a job is wat makes me happy
