What part of Advance Auto Parts's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
i don't know about it growing fast but the part that is difficult is dealing with management who thinks they're better then you and is power hungry
Don't have the data to answer this question. However, in the four years I have been at the store, Commercial has greatly downsized.

How do you feel about Advance Auto Parts's future?
In this store she won't have any employees soon and the ones that stay are her brown nosers or just don't do their job so why leave cause shes not gone to say anything
Brick and mortar stores will continue for commercial accounts but online pricing is a very real threat.
Amazon and Rock Sport are exerting internet pressure - plus NAPA and AutoZone are brick and mortar competitors. More aggressive field commercial reps would be advised.
What does the ideal candidate in the Sales department look like at Advance Auto Parts?
Some one willing to do two peoples' jobs for the (below market rate) pay of one and have no personal life.
A person who camps out at the register closest to the door and calls entering customers over to him - does not participate in any planogram, front tag, or restocking activities.
Politically correct or not - most customers respond best to middle aged Caucasian males.
How helpful was your Sales team when you were first hired at Advance Auto Parts?
The GM gave some good advice - my coworkers were only interested in making their sales goals in order to qualify for a bonus.

Not much - it was 'sink or swim'. All of my missteps were noted - little direction as to how improve or avoid missteps.

How would you compare interviewing at Advance Auto Parts to other places you've interviewed?
They all use the same scripted material apparently one or two companies dominate the filed - similar to apartment leases - all are the same with a couple of addenda
The GM was older and recognized the value of experience and the work ethic of senior citizens. Previous managers I interviewed with were 30 something and were obviously looking for someone younger.
When it come to large corporations like advance, everything is smoke and mirrors.
How innovative is Advance Auto Parts?
Have never seen any innovation
Decisions seem to be made in isolated office suites based on nation spread sheet data - sales opportunities in specific locations are not considered.
HAH! Not very. Their computer software and hardware are sorely out dated. Experience multiple system crashes everyday. Very frustrating when you are busy and have to keep rebooting the computer.
What kind of people succeed at Advance Auto Parts?
Those who are reliable and need little supervision.
Outgoing and concerned about helping customers find the product they need.
Cut throat back stabbers liars and cheaters and thieves, People like Tony Moore, John Jade,Chris long there is a long list of them

Lack of pay increases, cutting of staffing hours, increased work load, and indifference of new, younger hires is wearing older, longer term staff down.
Very low - no significant wage increase in several years, no overtime allowed, store staffing hours cut causing increased work load, useless HR, management more concerned with satisfying corporate agenda than staff, etc
What do people at Advance Auto Parts think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
The CEO is out of touch with store level/ frontline teams. Our polices have changed to serve a PR standpoint and not an increase in quality of service or employee job satisfaction.

Don’t stop looking for a better opportunity because quite honestly better opportunities are out there and unfortunately advance auto parts is not one of them at least in the Northeast.

No perks that I am aware of - the online order discount is better than the employee discount. Dental and vision benefits are the best value.
