We work from home often.
With so many vacancies now (alot of people left), Amex is desperate to hire and they have been faster in hiring people.
Lack of leadership direction - they can't make up their minds. Systems and processes are convoluted and nobody understands how things work.
The hours are good. But you will just get 3% raise every year and after a while, your salary will be below market. They don't pay competitively.
Most leaders don't no know anything meaningful. They go to meetings and read decks others wrote for them. They are taught by those who reports to them. How are they suppose to guide and lead then?
Many Amex employees have been there for a long, long, time. They survive by keeping their heads down, don't challenge their leaders or the system and just drone on. They don't retain the best quality folks. The smarter people eventually leave for Amazon, MC, VISA, etc.
