Best Buy is the best job I've ever had. I do look forward to going to work every day, even over Black Friday weekend. I have made friends that I know I'm going to have for the rest of my life. They've been with me through the good times and the bad over the past five years.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The employee discount, most definitely. And the matching they do on my 401K.
What makes you most happy at work?
Receiving recognition for the efforts I've made. Hitting our sales targets and receiving our bonuses.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They have taken the time to get to know me, they do what they can to work with my needs and expectations. They care about how I'm doing and where I'm trying to go next in my career.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I work with a group of adults rather than teenagers with no real direction or drive. We do what we can to have each other's backs. People generally take accountability for their actions. We have fun while doing quality work.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everybody for the most part knows everybody else's name despite there being well over 100 of us. We have an extremely diverse team in terms of culture. Everybody's opinion counts for something. I often get perspectives on things that I may not have otherwise had.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview starts with a packet of questions that they're required to ask, but it's often set aside halfway through things. They want to know what makes you who you are. They're trying to find out how you're going to interact with others, what energy you bring.
